At John Scott Meat, we provide a number of services at our abattoir in Paisley, Scotland including boning plant, private & contract slaughter, butchery, and distribution.
At our boning plant, our highly skilled team of boners and trimmers de-bone beef to the highest standard and individual customer spec. We pride ourselves on the ability to adjust the trimming specs in order to keep up with the ever developing customer demands.
We offer a bespoke boning service for customers who are unable to bone out beef in their own premises sometimes due to holidays or staff shortages. All beef is boned to a high spec, vacuum packed, boxed and labelled ready for dispatch. This also applies to private OTM beef which we are fully licensed to process.
We offer a quality private slaughter and butchery service which we are proud to say is consistently growing in popularity due to the quality of the finished product. Once the cattle/sheep arrive with us, we fully process the carcass from beginning to end entirely on site here in Paisley. The beef and lamb is deboned by our team of highly skilled boners and further processed by our master butchers in our designated butchery department. Once your meat is ready for butchering, our master butcher will contact you regarding the cutting list where each and every customer gets a tailor made service where they can have the meat prepared to suit their needs. All meat is either blast frozen or kept fresh, depending on customer requirement.
As we don’t slaughter pigs at Sandyford Abattoir, we recommend slaughtering at a close by abattoir and we will transport to our site for butchery. Please speak to a member of our team if you are interested in any of the above services.
At John Scott Meat, we have the networks to distribute our meats UK wide. We have our own fleet of refrigerated vehicles that deliver across the country 5 days a week to ensure we are servicing our clients on time.
Our distribution centre in Basildon, Essex allows us to dispense our top-quality produce all over London and the Southeast of England. Our refrigerated vehicles are fully equipped with meat hooks to ensure that when our products reach our distribution centre, they are still as fresh as they were when they left us
